Jordan chats with Tero Isokauppila all about SHROOMS! The founder of Four Sigmatic, Tero shares with us all about the origin of his company. As a Finnish native, he first started Four Sigmatic in Finland, and the company has since been Stateside for all of 3 years. It has clearly blown up in that time frame because Tero’s company meets a genuine need in the market! Tero is a 13th generation family farmer and forager and was a student of both chemistry and nutrition- SUCH an interesting combination to prepare him for this business. His successful brand, which sells adaptogenic mushroom coffee and other delicious blends, is a powerhouse in the wellness world!

In today’s episode, Jordan asks Tero all about his views on psychedelic mushrooms, to which he shares that people aren’t often educated on the fundamentals of these particular mushrooms, and that they’ve been part of our ancestors’ lives all across the globe for centuries. However, he shares there is still ongoing research to find health benefits for this specific grouping. In this episode, Jordan prompts Tero to share the many healing properties of his mushroom products. Tero reminds us that, when something gets trendy, it’s okay to be skeptical and remain focused on researching the quality of the product being offered as well as the reported dosage. Tero also tells us all about his daily spiritual and physical practices, which include yoga and napping on a LITERAL nail bed! You can learn more by tuning into this super interesting episode with the FOUNDER of Four Sigmatic, Tero Isokauppila.

Jordan chats with Dr. Frank Lipman, one of the first + most well known functional and integrative medicine doctors! Originally from South Africa, Dr. Lipman immigrated to the United States in 1984. He founded the Eleven Eleven Wellness Center Center in 1992, where according to his website, “he combines the best of Western medicine and cutting edge nutritional science with age-old healing techniques from the East.” Dr. Lipman is an established author and also the founder of Be Well, an expanding lifestyle wellness brand he founded in 2010 to help people create, sustain, and lead healthier lives.

Dr. Lipman talks all about optimal health as an individual pursuit (aka what works for Jordan may not work for everyone!). This being said, he does concede that gluten is, in his expert opinion, unhealthy for everyone, and sugar will lead to excessive weight gain for many. Dr. Lipman also delves into the connection between gut health and brain health (stress, mood, depression, etc.). He continues to WOW us with observed parallels between technology addiction and sugar addiction, and concludes with his thoughts on intermittent fasting. Dr. Lipman reminds us that becoming healthier doesn’t have to be scary!! It’s all about balance and, of course, changing bad habits into good habits.

Jordan chats with one of the most beloved musicians in the yoga and spiritual space (and also worldwide, let’s be real), Trevor Hall, who is not only an incredibly talented artist but also a deeply tapped in human.

Trevor’s heartfelt responses to each and every question are a testament to how present he is as a person. We learned about his love of astrology and his Saturn Return journey in Episode 69 with Trevor & Jordan’s astrologer Debra Silverman. In this episode we dive deeper to learn about Trevor’s music, how he met the love of his life, the ups and downs of being a musician, how Mother Earth plays a role in all of his songs and all about his latest album The Fruitful Darkness.

We all have so much to learn from Trevor’s profound wisdom  and his connection to the earth. He is as high vibe as they come, and deeply authentic. The exact kind of soul on fire human we love to feature here. We also may or may not learn the stories behind all of Jordan’s favorite songs of Trevor’s as well as his most popular songs.

Jordan also wants to let you know about Swisse Wellness, an amazing brand of multivitamins and supplements that she discovered a few months ago. She loves their Liquid Hair Skin Nails (collagen boost!), Sleep supplement, and more! Swisse Wellness premium supplements are available online at Amazon.com, Walgreens.com and iHerb.com, as well as Swisse’s site!
